Responsibilities:
Design, develop, maintain and support Web application using Java, Servlet programming.
Understand product requirements and design new features based on requests.
Develop Web Services components to exchange data through XML with our partners.
Create a persistence layer in Java to store data efficiently in a Oracle database.
Participate in Bug fixing.
Performance tuning of application to provide fast response time.
Automating system level tasks using UNIX Shell scripts.
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor of Engineering/Technology in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
Required skill(s): Java, Servlet, Oracle.
Preferably skill(s): Linux, Object Oriented Design, Web Services.
At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Applicants should be Indian citizens or hold relevant residence status.
Preferably senior executives specializing in IT/Computer - Software or equivalent.
Full-Time positions available.
At least 3 years of programming in Java. At least 3 years of web programming experience. 3 years of programming experience.
Good understanding of Relational DB design and Object Oriented design.
Developing Java servlets/JSP for large scale deployment using standard protocols (XML, HTTP, JDBC).
Development of class libraries/packages, object oriented design and analysis methodologies, deployment of java based applications on Tomcat, Apache environments.
Experience rolling out Java products to customers on Windows and UNIX/Linux platforms.
Worked on Web applications that have been deployed to a customer base of atleast 500 users. Understanding of scalability, reliability and high availability issues.
Excellent Communication & interpersonal Skills; Team Player.
