Job Description: Develop Web applications using .Net / SQL Server and also take up development of PHP based web pages in a Drupal CMS environment depending on project needs. Work in a team environment that practices the Agile methodology - participate in Release and Iteration planning meetings - develop automated unit tests, keep track of build / deployment activities. Be a team player that can demonstrate all the behavioral aspects of working in a team that practices the Agile methodology. May also occassionally take up bug fixes from current production releases.
Qualifications
You should possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering (Computer Science or equivalent). Ideal candidate will have at least 5 years industry experience developing web 2.0 applications using .Net / Microsoft SQL Server and PHP (Drupal CMS) - PHP/LAMP (PHP 5.0, Apache, mySQL, Linux). Must be comfortable in writing both .Net back end interfaces / ASP.Net pages and PHP pages in a Drupal CMS.
Good working knowledge of (X)HTML, JavaScript and CSS, XML, AJAX
Good understanding of usability, web standards and table-less layouts
Familiarity with common JavaScript libraries, e.g. jQuery, jSon etc.
Ability to work with little direction and minimal oversight
Accustomed to working in a fast-paced development environment (familiarity with agile programming a plus)- Good verbal and written communication skills
