Job Description:
Software Engineers conduct or participate in multidisciplinary research and collaborate with design, layout and/or hardware engineers in the design, development, and utilization of productivity enhancement layout tools and design rule checkers, electronic data processing systems software. Determines computer user needs'' advises hardware designers on machine characteristics that affect software systems such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output requirements'' designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education, judgment and formal software process.
Qualifications
You should have graduated with a Bachelor/Master of Technology degree and/or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science & Engineering or in Electrical/Electronics Engineering. Additional qualifications include:Strong programming skill, preferably in languages like C*, C++*, C#* with sound hands-on knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
Strong problem solving and communication skill in order to effectively work with various teams at different locations on the globe on collaborative projects.
Experience/Knowledge of scripting languages like Python*, Perl* would be an added advantage.
Exposure to computer architecture,Very Large Scale Integration
( VLSI) design, hardware description languages like Verilog* and/or VHSIC Hardware Description Language(VHDL), design verification and/or validation would be added advantage.
Should be self-motivated and proactive.
